On March 22, 2016, ChinaSupreme People's Court announced at a press conference that “Interpretation (II) bythe Supreme People's Court on Several Issues concerning the Application of Law in the Trial of Patent Infringement Dispute (hereinafter, "Interpretation (II)")” will come into forceon April 1, 2016.

The Interpretation (II) contains 31 articles, which mainly involve key issues in patent juridical practice, such as claims interpretation, Indirect Infringement, standards implementation defense, legal source defense, cessation of infringement act, calculation of compensation amount, and impact of patent invalidation on the infringement litigation.
